Techno Wizardry (The “Magic”)

  • Wizards (Coders/Engineers): These adventurers might be called “Codeweavers,” “Jockeys,” or “Tech-Shamans.” They don’t cast spells from a book; they run programs from a “Grimoire” (a heavily modified tablet or datapad).
    • Cantrips: Simple root commands or jury-rigged tools. (e.g., light.sh creates a floating orb of light from a modified drone).
    • Fireball: A single-use, pre-packaged program that overclocks a target’s power source, causing it to explode.
    • Summoning: A program that temporarily brings a dormant, non-hostile machine (like a cleaning bot or automated vehicle) under the user’s control.
  • Magic Items (Relics): Your “Powersword” is perfect.
    • “The Aegis of the Ancients”: A personal energy shield generator that is notoriously difficult to recharge.
    • “Hermes’ Greaves”: Cybernetic legs that allow for short bursts of incredible speed or gravity-defying leaps.
    • “The Oracle’s Eye”: A salvaged optical sensor that can see in multiple spectra, allowing the user to spot energy signatures, heat sources, or structural weaknesses (the equivalent of “Detect Magic” or “Divination”).
